Árbol Solo, School Nº 48

We visited School Home No. 48 in Árbol Solo, surrounded by the wild forest in western La Pampa. This school has 23 students, of whom 16 are boarders and remain in the school for 15 to 20 days.

We were warmly welcomed by teachers and students, parents, neighbours and the chief of the Ranquel community in that town.

As a token of their gratitude, the students wrote poems for us, where they expressed their joy at receiving guitars, educational games, toys, films, swings and slides for the garden, and table-tennis and table-football tables. Additionally, we provided them with a basic science lab, storybooks, dictionaries, maps and plastic arts materials, and we repaired their only computer room.

Then, we shared a tasty barbecue lunch, and we enjoyed the performance of the murga band “Cachivaches” from School Home No. 156 in Pichi Huinca. We finished the ceremony unveiling a plaque with the names of all the sponsors who have supported these initiatives.
